At the heart of George Building Group is our founder, Rodney George, a highly experienced professional with an unparalleled background in both design and construction. Rodney’s career spans over two decades, starting as a licensed general contractor in Tennessee, where he honed his skills in the design-build environment. With 20 years of hands-on experience, Rodney’s expertise in both construction and design allows him to offer unique insights and solutions that few in the industry can match.
A life-long resident of Middle Tennessee, Rodney earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and formally served on the MTSU’s Construction Management Academic Advisory Board. That board was responsible for shaping and putting in place a new concentration of Commercial Construction Management. He received an associate’s in architectural engineering from Nashville State Technical Institute.
Rodney and his family reside in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He and his wife, Beverly, have one son, Matthew George, who is part of the business. They are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro and are involved in other community activities in the Murfreesboro area.
